Hi there! How are you? What are you up to?
I just finished going through my daily blog read and I want to share a few of my most favorite blogs that I read pretty regularly and find lots of inspiration from.
A Beautiful Mess // This was one of the first blogs I ever started reading back in the day. Elsie and Emma are sisters who run A Beautiful Mess with an equally impressive creative team behind them. A Beautiful Mess is a lifestyle blog and it’s FULL of DIY projects, recipes for drinks and cocktails, home decor, style, how to run a successful online business and they even have written three books, have made and sell photo apps (I have a couple of them on my iPhone) and an online shop called Oui Fresh, where they sell essential oils, natural makeup, happy mail boxes and clothes items. I have no idea how they come up with so many ideas, but they do and they’re really good at it. Elsie recently adopted a baby girl from China and I’ve followed her journey regarding her new family life and how she manages all of that while running a huge empire online.
The Everygirl // It took me a bit to get used to Everygirl because I thought it was geared towards the younger crowd that in they’re 20s and 30s, but I am finding that a lot of the info can be applied to a more seasoned person such as myself. Their manifesto says:
Whether she is searching for her dream job or a new city to call home;
is saving for a down payment or a ticket to travel the world; is learning to cook or speak another language, she needs a bit of guidance, she wants to be inspired.
Health and wellness, family, fashion, travel, mental health, home decor, living well…..I know that these subjects can apply to allll of us in some form or another. Current events and politics are sprinkled throughout the blog but not so much so that I get turned off…..I find it really informative. It’s a simple and clean layout which I love as well.
Cup of Jo // I am a huge fan of lifestyle blogs and Jo’s is one of my favorites. I actually want to be friends with her (in my mind, we totally are). She’s so personable and real and has a variety of thought provoking articles on her blog. I love that she shares the hard and difficult things in life, tragedies, and even the stuff that you are a bit nervous to talk about.
Design Sponge // Another blog that I’ve followed for a long time and will never NOT read. Grace is amazing and I’ve read everything she writes and have listened to every podcast she’s been on. Filled with inspiration on home, life, travel, business, food and drink, Design Sponge has amazing content that I’ve used in my own life and home and it has opened doors to many more blogs that I now read. Grace has also written an amazing book that I have displayed in my family room. It just makes me feel good to read about other amazing women. She also just started a magazine.
Honestly Yum and Honestly WTF // I love to eat. I love food. I love cooking. Deliciousness is the game over on Honestly Yum and checkmarks all of those loves. I love being inspired by Honestly for dinner parties or a yummy cocktail that I’ve never tried before. And the food photography is beautiful and fun! BTW, I’m totally eyeing this for ice cream or frozen yogurt. The sister site, Honestly WTF focuses on DIY, travel, style and art – just a few of my favorite things. One of my favorite DIYs that I need to do is this one because disco balls forever!
