Goodbye, January!

Is it me or was THAT not the LONGEST January E V E R?

Back on January 17th, I felt like it was January 94th! So happy to see February finally make an appearance and get this year rollin’!

I ended 2019 with a NYE party (our 10th one!) here at home with good friends. A few days into 2020, I was cruising along with my extended family on my way to the Mexican Riviera. It was SO MUCH FUN! Filled with sunshine, margaritas, naps and warm weather, it was a nice way to start the new year. A few days later, I got back and came home to about 2 feet of snow a couple of days later and got sick after that. My husband said it was the “post cruise disease”…. and he was right. 😂 A few of my family members had also gotten sick. It was the perfect time too, I guess, since I was home bound for 5 days with all the snow. It took a good 9 days to feel better and get myself back into the swing of things, earlier this week. So, this month as been all about easing back into a routine as much or as little as I want and getting some things checked off of my to do list. And when I say “easing”, I mean like, EASING. No pressure to start the new year off with a bang and a long “resolution” list. My daughter and I have this joke that we’re going to start our new year on February 1st. Sounds good to us and as she put it “Mom, we need time to adjust to a new year. We shouldn’t just rush into it.” I’m with her.

I do have have some definite plans and goals for this new year and I’m intentionally keeping them simple. No over the top resolutions, hard to reach and unrealistic plans. I want to actually meet those goals and look back in December 2020 and not feel like I didn’t achieve what I set out to do. I ask that you do that same. Set some intentions. Make a plan. And get into action, because despite what we tell ourselves (I tell myself, at least)  our dreams and plans don’t just magically appear. It takes work….lots of hard work, even when we don’t want to do it. I proved, once again, to myself last year that I CAN DO HARD THINGS. Last year was hard, ugly, beautiful, trying, amazing, pivotal….all the good and not so good things. I can do what it takes to manifest those goals and dreams and so can you! I believe in you and I’m here to cheer you on!

Let’s go into February with open heart, a renewed sense of purpose and some love for ourselves and those around us. And if you need to start over, take January as your trial month too!  I’ll touch base real soon about some projects that I’m working on to bring to Terphaus this year that I am SUPER excited to share with you.

Happy New Year, loves!

Hi beautiful! What would you like to say?
